This is the drawing Benjamin made while he was in the waiting room while I was having the ultrasound. He said it is "mommy with baby in the belly".

Week 23

I am finally feeling a little better. Getting close to the six months mark! Feeling him move so much everyday now :)

Week 19

Had an ultrasound today! Baby is healthy and growing right on target. They said baby is perfect!!!!! No hydronyphrosis or any other concerns at all!!! Yea healthy baby!

We don't need to do any follow up ultrasounds, which is good, we had to do five total with Benjamin!

I will post ultrasound pics soon and make the gender announcement after Sunday!!!!

Week 17

I FINALLY was able to get the ultrasound place to make an appt. date with me. It will be on December 14th at 10:30 am. So it's just two weeks from today until I can start showing off ultrasound pics!

Other than that, I have been continually sick every morning and anxiously waiting for that to end, and maternity clothes are a def. must now :)

Week 16

Today we heard the heartbeat for the first time!

Everything is going good and in a week or two I will have a level two ultrasound to make sure the baby is developing well (and well let's face it we want to know who is in there!) I have to have a level two ultrasound because Benjamin has hydronephrosis and we want to keep an eye out for that. This type of test can check for things like that better. Hopefully baby is wonderfully healthy!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! Happy Turkey Day to everyone!

Weeks 1-12

Well, as you can probably guess by this blog, I am pregnant again!

Weeks 1-12 have passed, thankfully!
Nausea is not my friend, but has been my constant companion for the past seven weeks. All day. All night. FUN!

Every smell has been overwhelming to me, most of them have been sickening. We moved when I was five weeks into a townhouse, but we soon discovered that I was having an allergic reaction to mold in the walls or air ducts. That did not help my nausea at all. I couldn't breath at night and I only felt a little better when I went out of the place.

So, we moved again. This time I was ten weeks along. I don't want to ever move again! Or at least not for a few years, I'm exhausted of it.

At nine weeks I had my first appointment with my midwife, Christina Holmes. She is great. She spent two hours with us answering our questions and discussing the differences between home births, birthing centers, and hospitals. I am really excited about the level of care I will receive at this place. I was happy to find that Christina is not 'preachy' or judgmental. My next appointment is November 8.
